The Surrey Hil s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty 
(AONB) is one of 36 national y protected landscapes 
(T)
in England, having equal landscape status and 
protection to a National Park. The hills stretch across 
the chalk North Downs that run from Farnham in the 
west, above Guildford, Dorking and Reigate, to Oxted 
in the east. To the south are the Greensand Hil s that 
include Black Down, the Devil’s Punch Bowl and Leith
