This is Arundel
Arundel Castle & Gardens
Perhaps our prime attraction is the Castle, the seat for
more than four hundred years of the Dukes of Norfolk.
It was besieged twice in the C12th and again during the Civil
War of the C17th.  Following the last siege, it was reduced
to a ruin, re-occupied in the early C18th, re-built in the early
C19th and re-built in its present form at the end of the
century.  So it is part old and part new.  The Castle &
Gardens and the magnificent new Collector Earl’s Garden is
open Tuesday to Sunday inc, BH Mondays and August
Mondays, March to October. (Please check for exact dates)

Arundel Museum and
History Store
Temporarily this may be the smallest museum in the
country. -----Why? ---- Well it’s a practical solution to
the problem of staying open while our superb collection is
in store awaiting our new premises; the plans of which can
be viewed when you visit.
We are located in the Mill Road Car Park, and are open
daily from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
On show are aspects of the history and heritage of
Arundel and our staff (All volunteers) will be pleased to try
to answer all your questions; ----It may even be possible for
us to help trace your family history!
We organise walks, talks and courses. Information on this
and details of events and membership are available on
www. arundelmuseum.org.uk
Entrance is FREE, but donations to our building fund are
welcomed and much appreciated.  We hope you enjoy
visiting us.
