The Museum
This great little award-
winning Museum is
aimed at 6 to 12 year
olds and their families.
Situated in the village where
Roald Dahl lived and wrote for 36 years, the
Museum was created as a home for the author’s
unique archive (which you can see on our regular
tours). There are two fun and fact-packed
biographical galleries and a fantabulous
interactive Story Centre that inspires creativity. 
Events and activities
In the school holidays and at weekends we run
an exciting range of workshops, events and free
storytel ing sessions. Free craft activities are
always on offer, while our Vil age Trail leads you
around Great Missenden to see the places that
feature in the stories.
Café and Shop
Café Twit serves a family-friendly range of home-
made soups, sandwiches and cakes. Our Shop is 
a treasure-trove of books, toys, gifts and pocket-

Your visit
Visitors usual y stay for between one hour and 90
minutes, though many stay much longer. The site is
ful y accessible to wheelchair and pushchair users.
