Hampshire Hospitality Awards
The Hampshire Hospitality award is a quality
marque for restaurants, pubs, tea rooms, cafés and
other eateries in the county. The award celebrates
the best in Hampshire’s eating experiences,
so make sure you look out for this symbol.
Congratulations to all Portsmouth establishments that entered
and were awarded the marque: Bombay Express, Lemon Sole,
Montparnasse, 8 Kings Road, Le Café Parisien, The Georgian at
Antiques Storehouse and Mozzarella Joes.
Portsmouth boasts a number of
award-winning restaurants and is home
to two of its very own food festivals.
With regular farmers markets and
plenty of establishments offering locally
sourced produce, Portsmouth really is a
foodie heaven.
The city’s diverse population has benefited our restaurant scene,
meaning that authentic Mediterranean, Asian, African, American and
traditional English eateries sit alongside one another. Albert Road in
Southsea is a great place to eat your way around the world! Entirely
surrounded by water, Portsmouth is also the perfect place to sample
some fresh fish.
If you prefer the DIY approach then gather some ingredients for
the perfect picnic or barbeque. Pick up some speciality sausages
in Southsea or seafood from Portsmouth Fish Market. Finish with
some indulgent chocolates from Coco Chocolatiers – you may even
catch a glimpse of the owners hand-making their chocolates on the
premises! If you’re far too busy exploring the front to sit down,
Portsmouth is a Fairtrade City.
Look out for cafés & bars with this sign.
then grab some cockles or traditional fish ‘n’ chips as you wander
along the waterfront.
