Heyford Wharf is an ideal base for walking
the easy Heyfords Circular Walk (approx
1.5hrs) or the more strenuous Cherwell Valley
Circular Walks. Other one-way walk/train opportunites
are especially easy here along the towpath to nearby
Tackley (4 miles), or on into Oxford (13miles), or to
Banbury (12 miles).
The towpath can become muddy so do remember
to bring appropriate footwear – wheelchairs are not
recommended for any other than the Lower Heyford part
of the Heyfords Circular Walk.
Call in at Kizzies for a well-earned drink or meal.
Better still, hire a dayboat and do as little or as much
walking as you wish!
