get fit - get Active at Heyford Wharf… we offer
a range of great new bikes including tagalongs
and kids bikes for hire so you get out and about
discovering the wonderful local countryside. Country lane
cycling accesses Rousham and Blenheim – we’ll give you
a map to choose a circular or out-and-back route to suit
all tastes. All bikes are hired by the day or afternoon.
We’ve a great range of routes from Heyford Wharf,
most are only minor roads or paths, including the canal
towpath in places. The Cherwell Valley Cycle Ride passes
close to Lower Heyford, leaflet available. Sustrans Route
5 from Oxford toward the Midlands is also close at hand.
our cycle hire includes:-
l Full day’s or afternoon’s hire
l Helmet, lock, puncture repair/toolkit
l Haversack for the above and your en-route drink/snacks
l Free advice on route planning
l Free copy of local map showing routes/byways.
Hire rates:
Full Day
£15/bike (no extra for Tagalong)
Afternoon
£10/bike (no extra for Tagalong)
10% discount on hires of 8 or more bikes. Please note a
refundable security deposit is charged for each cycle.
