Chopin Potato
After 12 years of searching Europe to find the perfect potato and tasting nearly 1,000
different varieties, our M&S potato experts, along with partners Manor Fresh, recently
launched the new, award winning Chopin potato. Its super creamy, melt-in-the-mouth
texture means it doesn’t even need butter when baked and is very versatile, ideal for
boiling, baking, roasting and mashing. We were delighted when, in February, this
outstanding potato won the award for best new variety at the Grower of the Year awards.
Amelia Apple
The launch of our exclusive Amelia Apple
last autumn meant a lot to the staff at M&S,
especially for one store manager whose
daughter, Amelia, died from kidney cancer
last year at the age of 11. This special apple,
developed exclusively for M&S, was named in
memory of Amelia. 10% of the sales of every
pack of Amelia apples sold is donated to Great
Ormond Street Hospital Children’s charity to
help fund the hospital’s transplant centre.
Grown in Kent, the Amelia Apple has
a distinct yellow colour with a zingy flavour and
a lemon fizz. The British apple season runs
from mid-October through to March so it won’t
be long until you can try them for yourself.
