Day 5: Wangduephodrang: Full day excursion to see the Gangtey
Gompa Valley Glaciers. Visit the Nyingmapa Monastery; you may see the
rare Black Necked Cranes migrating from the Tibetan plateau. (B.L.D)
Day 6: Wangduephodrang / Punakha / Paro: Drive to Punakha, once
capital of Bhutan; visit the Punakha Dzong. Afternoon drive back to Paro;
enroute visit Simtokha Dzong, housing the Buddhist University.
Overnight: Olathang Hotel (B.L.D)
Day 7: Paro: Today, the trekking tour begins with a gentle ascent
through the pine forest. Continue to the view point of the Taktsang
Monastery. Although this monastery was destroyed by fire in 1998,
a replica can be viewed. (B.L.D)
Day 8: Paro / Delhi: Transfer to the airport for your departure flight
back to Delhi.
