The Prep School
Pre-Prep Department Age 4-7
Our friendly, well-qualified teaching staff will continue to work in partnership
with you to ensure that your child is happy at school and flourishes.
Your child will follow the National Curriculum to Key Stage One but will have
the time to do a lot more besides. Our curriculum is enriched through a wide
range of educational experiences and visits, both in and out of school.
Our pupils are aware from a very early age that school extends well beyond
the classroom and they are given the opportunity to do games and to
perform in concerts and plays.
Out and about at Rainton Meadows
After-school supervision is available and from Year 1 upwards your child will
be able to attend after-school clubs such as fencing, judo, percussion and
speech and drama.
In preparation for the next stage, in Year 2 your child will be included in the
Preparatory Department Houses for competition purposes, will attend “Prep”
department assemblies once a week and begin to receive some coaching from
our specialist sports staff.
