The Senior School
Years 7 and 8
As a pupil in Years 7 and 8, you will belong to one of the five senior Houses,
depending on whether you are a boy or girl, boarder or day-pupil. The junior pupils
have their own area for work and leisure within the House and your welfare and
progress will be closely monitored by your House tutor, the Junior Housemaster or
Housemistress and the Director of Lower School Studies.
We will provide you with an exciting programme of work and recreation which will
help you to develop the skills and talents you already have and to discover some
new ones too.
You will follow a wide range of subjects taught by specialist teachers. With our small
class sizes, you will receive considerable individual attention. If English is not your
Year 7 pupils in the ICT suite
first language or you need other specialist provision, perhaps for dyslexia, this can
be provided. You will receive support for your daily homework which can on
occasions be supervised at school and we will reward you both for achievement and
for improvement.
With the opportunity to do sport most days and an extensive programme of
voluntary activities and outings on offer, there will be plenty to keep you busy and
stretch your horizons.
