pumpkins glow and children turn into
witches and wizards threatening ‘trick
or treat’ in every town. The biggest
celebrations are held across Northern
Ireland, especially in Londonderry, which
is one of the world’s largest, with some
30,000 revelers.

any time is a good time to pull out the
traditional pipes or accordion, push back
the chairs and plunge into an energetic
‘reel’. While every town has a place
where you can bite into this chunk of
tradition over frothing Guinness, there’s
nothing like a full blown festival to set

Fiddlers and a few other musicians
collect here to electrify the atmosphere
with their lively folk music which sends
feet a-tapping and hands a-clapping.
You can even start  dancing. It is unique
because it brings together a world class
line-up of artistes from across the
world, and is yet extremely intimate.
