Places to eat
True, Dublin is a great place to eat, but
the rest of the region lays on typical fare,
as richly varied as the landscape and of
uniformly high quality. You can get
healthy organic fruit and vegetables from
the sprawling gardens and glasshouses of
North County Dublin. Non-vegetarians
can bite into succulent prawns, not just
the world renowned ones from Dublin
Bay, and into superb Wicklow lamb.
Those who don’t mind eating beef when
ǡ ϐ
marbled meat of Irish Hereford or Irish
Angus. Dad can have Cooley whiskey
from Louth, and even Mom can sip some
beer from the Porterhouse microbrewery
or Tullamore Dew from Offaly. Kids have
lots of options everywhere from fresh
fruit juice to sludges to shakes. And
oodles of ice cream.
